Suggestion for AR 2012

I enjoyed the program for AR 2010 very much,........the location not so much.

Please consider having AR 2012 in Washington D.C., instead of Alexandria.

Alexandria is convenient for people living in the Bethesda and Arlington area, but it is quite inconvenient for locals living beyond those points. I missed a lot of the conference getting too and from the Hilton. That would have been worse if I took the metro, even/especially if I was in DC.

I heard a lot of out-of-towners complaining about the location too.

They thought it was really going to be in Washington D.C. because of the advertisements. They were disappointed to find out that it was a hassle to use the public transportation to get into Washington D.C........as well as time consuming.
Given the costs of traveling, they wanted to really make the most of their money and see a bit of DC before they left.

They were also motivated to leave the conference a lot given that dinners cost $18 and lunches $10 - $15.

Great conference, but the location could be improved.

Bring A Hoodie!

The Hilton always likes to refrigerate, um, over-air condition their hotel.

They will crank the AC down, but it takes a lot of huffing and puffing to get them to do it.

Attendees might want to bring a hoodie or a sweat shirt with them.

Warning to people Driving through Washington D.C.

If your directions tell you to make a right onto New York Ave from North Captiol Street please be aware that you can't see New York Avenue from North Capitol.

To reach, or see New York Avenue form North Capitol you have to take a service road that parallels North Capitol Street.

If you cut through Washington D.C. on your way back to Maryland stay dead center in the 395 tunnel or you will not make it back to New York Avenue.

Is anyone buying, dumpstering and sharing food at the conference? The food there is OK but quite epxensive; especially if you add up. Maybe 50 a day!
